Moreover, this study’s analytic sample had a slightly older average age than the one in their 2009 study. However, the difference in average age could be a result of other factors beyond Entain’s poker operations (e.g., changes in laws related to ring-fencing or marketing strategies). It is not clear if these differences are a result of changing trends in online poker participation overall.
